As i know, this is the only recording of Choros XII that was released on CD
(If i`m wrong, please let me know, i am very interested in other recordings
of that fantastic work). It`s Villa-Lobos last Choros (The scores of 13 and
14 are lost, also the score of the 5 th Symphony).

The São Paulo Symphony Orchestra, under J.Neschling, released last month the 3rd CD of the complete Choros series. Choros n.12 is there. I tend to think that Bartolomeé's version is still more convincing, although Neschling's one has an extraordinary state-of-the-art sound.

Hi, thanks for your contribution. I know two cds with Choros XII and VII (same recordings). One was released by Cypress along with Bachianas no.1 and is still available, the other was released by Chant du Monde, along with Choros 2, 4 and 5, and it's absolutely sold out (http://www.amazon.com/Heitor-Villa-Lobos-Saxophone-Orchestra-Philharmonique/dp/B00008FATK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1232195791&sr=8-2). Indeed, I have just the first cd, the other I have just in mp3, but I guess it'd be better to post this second, since it's much rarer. The only problem is that I don't have its covers, so I must ask for them to the friend who gave me the mp3's.
